The cafe will service both the public community as well as the private residential community. The two story height addition will have a slick modern profile that conceptually represent the expanded wings of the seagull population that flock and soar above the near by harbor and  area buildings. The interior of the cafe will be that of contemporary finishes and unique lines. The design will be elegant and MODERN.  The exterior of the cafe will be  transparent to relay back to the glazed elevators. The exterior walls will be layered with sheets of transparent glazing,  hued metal panels and louvered strips of composite and wood materials. Even though there will be a controlled reward and denial of certain walls and aspects, there will be an undeniable visual connection to the amazing  surrounding views. The user will be able to experience the connection to the city. Several of the cafe exterior design elements will trickle over and continue over the side of the parapet to clad the existing building in predetermined areas. This will allow the new elements and ideas to tie in with the existing building. There will be a cohesive aesthetic quality that will be imperative to the marrying of the old with the new.  The green space will add a natural layer of needed softness to disburse all of the hard surface elements. The green space will also mitigate surface water and allow for the cooling of the roof. The green aspects of roof will certainly create an atmosphere in which the users will enjoy and revere.  This project will be a sought after jewel of the community that all walks of life that will enjoy and inhabit this newly added green space above the streets and below the stars of Baltimore!
